L'oreal Voluminous False Fibre Mascara

Hey there everyone! So I'm guessing most of you have at least seen the commercials for this mascara. I know in the commercial it's easy to tell that Gwen Stefani is wearing some false lashes. This made me skeptical at first. I wasn't sure I wanted a mascara that promised one thing without seeing it used in person.

I then thought "Hey! I'm a beauty blogger. I should be the one to test this out on my own and then see how it works so I can tell others what it did."

This is exactly what I did. I marched right out to my local drugstore and went straight to the beauty section to get this mascara. I had a whole bunch of other "essentials" I needed to get so my beauty purchases amounted to just this so I figured a haul wasn't needed. The cost of the mascara wasn't too bad. It was somewhere around the 10-15$ range. I bought this a couple weeks ago so I don't remember exactly. Still it was in the same range as most of the drugstore mascaras I've purchased.

Onto the packaging. I think the tube itself is beautiful. It's an wonderful shape to look at. My only complaint is how long it is. In comparison to their Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara It's so long. The brush handle could have been much shorter.

Onto the wand itself. It is a great shap and has a slight curve. Again it could be a bit shorter in my opinion, but it doesn't really detract from the product. The wand isn't made of plastic. It's a fibre spooly which I haven't used in ages. I love it. I forgot how much I actually liked the fibre spoolies. They are really nice and grab my lashes in a way that the plastic ones don't.

Now onto what I think everyone was wondering. It does work to lengthan. I find it more of a lengthaning mascara than a volumizing mascara. I think that I would personally use this layered with the Million lashes on top of it. I haven't tried that yet, but that's because I need to go and get myself another tube of the Million Lashes to use. The lengthaning effect however was extremely surprising. I saw a noticable difference in how long my lashes looked, even without curling my lashes. (My lashes are what I like to call poker straight) It also helped to add a little curl to my lashes without using a curler as well.

All in all this is a great product, but I still have some messing around with it to figure out the best way to wear it so it adds volume and length at the same time, and which products to mix with it. Also I want to see what it will look like with a pair of false lashes mixed in. (I always blend my natural lashes with my false lashes with mascara) I want to see if this mascara makes false lashes look even longer.

I'll chat with all of you soon!
