For those of you who love food as much as I do and love trying out new recipes, I created a new blog, where I post reviews of different foods I've tried, and also recipes of my favourite meals, desserts, snacks, etc and new ones I find intriguing. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoy posting stuff on there. Here's the link http://kellysfoodiereview.blogspot.com/
Now the fact that I have that blog doesn't mean I won't have this one anymore. I will still pay as much attention here as I do my food blog. I just figured this wasn't the place to post food reviews and recipes.
Talk to you soon! My August favourites will be up tomorrow!

Series: Back to School Makeup Tutorials
Hey there everyone!
So I decided to do a back to school series. I know a lot of people are just doing one look for tutorials. I thought this was cool, but then thought wait a minute not every age range should be wearing the same types of makeup. After thinking this I decided to take my back to school video tutorial one step further and turn it into a series.
I find a lot of gurus just do what they would think is great for themselves when they do videos like this. I was looking at it from a different point of view, especially when meeting a few grade 6s who were the children of my parents' friends. These girls had heavy makeup on. I was shocked. I couldn't understand why they would have their makeup like that, let alone why their parents would allow that. Now I do understand parents are all different. I for one will probably let my 12 year old start experimenting with makeup, but I will be there to help her with it (provided I have a girl when the time comes). This made me look back to how I did my makeup in middleschool and highschool and made me realize that I didn't know all that much and never really learned techniques to use. I only saw pictures and I thought I was recreating them.
This series is to teach decent technique to different age ranges so they can still experiment, but at least know a certain technique that will help them out a bit better. I will be doing a video for grades 5&6 (ages 10-12), 7&8, (12-14), grades 9-12 (14-18) and college/university (18+)
Grades 5&6
For this video I'm mostly focusing on light colours that accentuate, but still look natural. No lipstick, foundation or eyeliner will be used as they create too hard of looks for such young and delicate soft skin.
Grades 7&8
For this video I'm using a simple simple light neutral with a very pale pop of colour. There is a powder foundation, and a thin thin line of eyeliner.
High School
There will be two looks created for these grades. The first is a neutral look using the Urban Decay Deluxe Palette. It will be a pretty simple neutral just using browns and golds. The next look will be a more colourful look, still using the same palette. Both looks will have an eyeliner look, however each look will change for eyeliner.
College/University
This has 3 videos. The first will be a business appropriate look, good for presentations. The second will be a going to class look, and the third will be a good look for going for coffee and hanging out with friends on campus.
Extras.
I am going to do 3 extra videos.

Update on Life!
Hey guys!
Firstly, for those of you who watch my youtube, my laptop needs to go through an intensive cleaning and reformatting. This being said, I won't have much access to my laptop and blog and youtube accounts. I will try to set everything back up as quickly as possible. I'm hoping to do the reformatting this week if I can. I will also try to film as many things as I can in the mornings to so of make up for the lost time and then edit them back to back almost and upload them as soon as I am finished.
Relationship-wise, things haven't been going that great, but I will talk more about that at a later date as things are still slightly touchy for me.
My throughout the years videos are still coming, just I keep putting them off because I'm getting close to a touchy point of my life and I'm afraid of filming. Still don't worry they will come!
I am hoping to get into a more of a health regime, so healthier "diet" (not a diet where I reduce foods and such, but diet as is how I eat). And exercise more. I will also post vlogs, and videos about how I exercise.
In just over two weeks (August 5th), I will be going to Montreal for the weekend. Friday night, I'm going to go see NKOTBSB (New Kids On The Block and the Back Street Boys) together in concert with my big sister and my cousin's wife. It should be a good show. I'm so excited. The next day will be a "big shopping spree" downtown Montreal. I'm hoping to get into forever 21, and some other stores to get some back to school clothing. I will haul everything I get while in Montreal as well!
I've been pretty busy lately with work and such. My boss has asked me to write up a training manual for the salon and well, that's been a hard job to do. Good news though! I get to take a week off in August and go to Stone Harbor, New Jersey for a week. I'm going for the week of August 14-21. We will be spending most of our days down on the beach and out in the sun. If you want in the week leading up to the vacation I can do a what's in my suitcase, what's in my overnight bag, what's in my makeup bag and what's in my beach bag videos and the sort. We will also be going to Atlantic city that week so there will be some shopping done that week. So when I return from my trip there will be yet another haul!!!
In other news, I didn't share this with you guys, but I feel like I should now, I got into a little car accident a few weeks ago, and ruined my back bumper. I wasn't going all that fast, but I misjudged my distance. Pretty much what happened was that I was backing out of my sister's driveway, a car was parked behind her driveway. Since she lives in a new development, the driveways and the streets aren't 100% finished, so I was going half by feel, and was trying to avoid the cars on either side of her driveway as well. Anyways the back driver's side corner of my bumper went right into the car behind me's door. There wasn't much internal damage, but for my car alone, the damage had cost upward of 900$ and the other car, the repair will be somewhere around 2000$. We went outside of insurance to do all of this, however my dad wants me to repay him the equivalent of the insurance deductible back. I owe him 500$ for that and I've already paid him 100$. Then my tires and rims were ruined in the front from hitting curbs. (I swear I'm not a bad driver). These cost another 450$ which I now owe him as well. So I'm thinking since I'm going to New Jersey with them, I can offer to pay the gas for the entire trip, and then in one week have around 250$ taken off of my IOU. This way after the trip I will only owe him 600$ and I can pay it back at 100$ every 15 days.
Now after all of my updates I hope all of you forgive me for my lack of posting. I will try to get more posts up later!
Love you all!!!

Throughout the Years - First Grade
check out my youtube to see my new throughout the years video. i'm going to vlog these rather than just do a blog post on them. I'll let you know through here to check them out, but I'm going to just vlog rather than write up a full blog on them.
Throughout the Years - Kindergarten
For me, kindergarten was ages 4-6. In the province I live in you do two years of kindergarten. Junior and Senior. My teachers both years were great. I had two teachers each year one in English and one in French. Kindergarten also only lasted half days. My mom had me signed up for the morning program. I remember my teacher Grace would bring in her puppy and puppets sometime and we would have puppet shows. Her dog was amazing. I also remember playing on the play structures and playing house. Play house was my favourite. The girls would always fioght over who got to play in the house area (Only so many people were allowed to be in a certain section at a time). I also loved story time and Arts and Crafts.
My mom told me that on the first day of Kindergarten she drove me to school and brought me into the classroom. I was so anxious to get started that I told her to go and pushed her out of the room. Yeah I was slightly a free spirit.
I know during that time I loved doing all sorts of crafts. My favourite show to watch on TV was Art Attack. I'd tell my mom to keep all sorts of stuff in our craft cupboard so I could copy all the different crafts he would make on that show.
That's all I can think of that happened over those years. Hope you enjoyed this installment!

Throughout the Years Birth to pre-school (Birth-4yrs)
I started walking at 8 months. It was at that moment that my mother realised she could not take her eyes off of me. In the house all the chairs had to be kept upside down or else I would push them around the house to a counter and start climbing. It was like that until I was about 3 or 4.
We moved to my current house when I was just 18 months old. I don't remember much from the move however. As I had said, my mother could not take her eyes off of me after I started walking. After moving my mom was getting ready to shower and had me in the bathroom with me and I for some reason thought it would be fun to run away from mommy and ended up tripping over my own feet and laded head first into the corner of the cabinet. I had to be rushed to the hospital and got stitches. To this day I still have a scar on my forehead. Since my birthday is early in the year, I started preschool at the age of 3 and finished at 4. It seems a lot older than many of the children who are in Preschool, but it was ok.
My best friend at the time was a little girl who I'll call KM. (I'm going to use initials throughout this series just so I can keep anonymity.) We did everything together. My mom even baby sat her right up until we both started Kindergarten.
That's pretty much all there is that I can think of saying about those 3-4 years of my life. I'll try and get kindergarten up as soon as possible.
